Apartments in Douglas

Self-catering apartments in Douglas cover the gap between a hotel room and a whole house. You get a kitchen, usually a washing machine, and separate living space, which makes a real difference on a stay of more than a couple of nights or with children in tow.

They are spread across the town rather than concentrated on the front: some are conversions in the Victorian promenade terraces, some are purpose-built blocks a short way back. Parking is more often included than it is at the promenade hotels, which is worth knowing if you are bringing a car over on the ferry.

The trade-off is that there is no breakfast and no front desk. If you would rather be catered for, the town has plenty of hotels and guest houses.

Kitchens and space

Every apartment here has its own kitchen. Bedroom counts and sleeping capacity vary a good deal, so check the specs on the individual listing rather than the category.

Bringing a car

Parking is more commonly available at apartments than at seafront hotels. If you are shipping a car across on the ferry, filter for it and confirm on the listing.

Longer stays

A kitchen and a washing machine change the maths on anything longer than a long weekend, which is why apartments dominate our bookings for week-long visits.
