Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 August 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Isle of Man Stays. By using the site you accept them. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site.
They are written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we'll explain it in plain terms.
2. What this site is — and what it is not
Isle of Man Stays is an independent guide to places to stay on the Isle of Man. We describe accommodation across the island and link you to Booking.com, where you can see live availability and complete a booking.
We are not a booking agent, a travel agent or a tour operator. Specifically:
- We do not take bookings and we do not take payments.
- We do not own, run, let or manage any of the properties described here.
- We hold no reservation on your behalf and have no access to your booking.
- We cannot amend, cancel, refund or chase a booking. Only Booking.com or the property itself can do that.
- We are not the agent of any property owner, and nothing on this site should be read as us acting for one.
If you have a problem with a booking, contact Booking.com or the property directly using the details on your confirmation. We are not able to help, and writing to us will only delay you.
3. Definitions
“We”, “us”, “our” means the operator of Isle of Man Stays.
“The site” means isleofmanstays.co.uk and everything published on it.
“You”, “your” means the person using the site.
“Booking platform” means Booking.com, which is where our accommodation links lead and where any booking is actually made.
“Accommodation provider” means the hotel, guest house, B&B or self-catering owner offering a property.
4. Affiliate links
We earn commission from Booking.com when someone books after following one of our links. It costs you nothing extra — you pay the same as you would going to Booking.com directly — and it does not change which properties we list or how we describe them. Our affiliate disclosure sets this out in full.
5. Prices and availability
We do not publish prices, nightly rates or availability, anywhere on this site. This is deliberate. Accommodation pricing changes constantly with season, demand and length of stay, and we hold no reliable feed of it — so any figure we printed would be out of date or simply wrong, and you might make a decision on it.
For what a stay actually costs and whether the dates you want are free, follow the link through to Booking.com. What you see there at the moment you book is the only figure that counts.
6. Accuracy of what we publish
We take care over the descriptions, photographs, facilities and locations shown here, and we correct mistakes when we find them or when you tell us about them. But property details change without notice, and much of the underlying information comes from Booking.com rather than from us.
So: treat this site as a starting point, not as a warranty. Before you book, confirm anything that would change your mind — accessibility, parking, pets, arrival times, whether the hot tub is actually there — with the property or on its Booking.com listing.
Guest ratings and review scores shown on property pages come from Booking.com. We do not write, edit, weight or filter them.
7. Using the site
You may read, link to and share anything published here. You may not:
- use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of these terms;
- scrape, harvest or bulk-copy our content, listings or photographs for a competing service;
- attempt to interfere with the site, its security, or anyone else's use of it;
- present our content as your own, or use our name or branding in a way that suggests we endorse you.
8. Intellectual property
The site's original text, layout, design and branding belong to us and are protected by copyright. Property photographs and listing data remain the property of Booking.com, the accommodation providers, or the photographers concerned, and are used on that basis. Photographs of places on the island are used under the licences stated in their captions.
If you believe something here infringes your copyright, please tell us with enough detail to identify the material, and we will take it down while we look into it.
9. Links to other websites
We link out to Booking.com, to accommodation providers, and to attractions, transport operators and other Isle of Man organisations. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, their terms or their handling of your data. Once you leave this site, their terms apply, not ours.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy & Cookie Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Liability
The site is provided as an information service, free of charge, and is offered as it stands. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every detail is current.
Because we are not party to your booking, we are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, cleanliness or conduct of any property or provider listed here, nor for anything that happens during your stay, nor for a booking that is changed, cancelled or not honoured. Those are matters between you, the provider and Booking.com.
To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site — for example a wasted journey, a lost deposit or a missed connection. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Isle of Man, and the courts of the Isle of Man have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of your own country of residence.
Note: the Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown Dependency. It is not part of the United Kingdom and not part of the European Union, and it has its own legal system and its own data protection law.
14. Who operates this site
To be completed before launch. Operator legal/trading name and, if a registered company exists, its registration number and registered address. Until Craig supplies these, this section is intentionally blank — we will not invent them.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: hello@isleofmanstays.co.uk, or use the contact form.
