About Isle of Man TT Mountain Course (Grandstand)
The start and finish line of the Snaefell Mountain Course, the 60-kilometre closed-road circuit used for the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix races, sits on Glencrutchery Road above Douglas, marked by the permanent Grandstand. Outside race fortnight the course is simply the island's public road network — the A2, A18 and connecting roads — so it can be driven, cycled or walked in ordinary traffic year-round, past landmarks racing fans will recognise such as Governor's Bridge, Creg-ny-Baa and the Bungalow on Snaefell. It's one of the more unusual ways to see the island: a single road that touches coast, town and mountain in one loop.
